Answering one of the most common questions I’m asked as an Indie author
It has been an emotional week around here as we welcomed a new life into our world and prepared to say goodbye to another. I also had a bit of a shock that I am still trying to process as love, loss, grief, joy, renewal and endings swirl around, coming in waves of emotion that sweep over me and at times threaten to overwhelm my balance.

Knowing when to take a step back can be just as important as writing for an author.
If you spend too much time on anything, including something you love, burnout becomes a likely option. And, I am sad to say, I reached burnout a few weeks ago by not taking a step back when I should have.
Now I’m working on correcting that…
